Mission Valley won the last time they faced Wabaunsee and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings blew past the Chargers 12-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Keely Chesmore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kailynn Jacobson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kyplee Jacobson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Mission Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wabaunsee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Mission Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 defeat against Tonganoxie on the 31st. As for Wabaunsee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-6 loss against Centralia on the 31st.
