Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Catholic Central played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 109-30 loss at the hands of the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning. The Hilltoppers haven't had much luck with the Lightning recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lake Country Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Hans, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. That's the most steals Hans has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Burow, who went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points along with six boards and six steals.

Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lake Country Lutheran, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Catholic Central will take on St. John's Northwestern Military Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will venture away from home to take on Kenosha Christian Life at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
