Recap: Trinity Collegiate Titans vs. Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats
The Trinity Collegiate Titans were the 63-60 winner over the Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity Collegiate took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Laurence Manning Academy on Friday. Trinity Collegiate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Trinity Collegiate's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Williams, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jy?ell Preston, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Trinity Collegiate's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Laurence Manning Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Trinity Collegiate won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake View at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Lake View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Trinity Collegiate is ranked 107th). As for Laurence Manning Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
