Volleyball Recap: Legend Comes Up Short

Legend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mullen Mustangs.

When it comes to explaining why Legend lost, don't look at Guy Gibbs. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs and three assists. Gibbs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

Legend's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mullen, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

Legend has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Vail Christian on the 12th. As for Mullen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Niwot on the 12th.
