Volleyball Preview: San Marcos Rattlers vs. Canyon Cougars

San Marcos took Steele into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 20-25, 15-5.
Meanwhile, Canyon entered their tilt with Steele on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Knights.
Canyon was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-14.
Canyon found their leader in underclassman Logan Sanders, who had 11 digs, four kills, and two aces. Sanders is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Sala Nuu, who had 22 digs and a kill.
San Marcos' defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Canyon, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 25-12.
