Soccer Recap: South Effingham Comes Up Short

South Effingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Savannah Arts Academy Panthers. While losing is never fun, South Effingham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Savannah Arts Academy are ranked 100th).

South Effingham now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

South Effingham wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, an 8-2 loss against Calvary Day on the 10th. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Richmond Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
