Bloom hadn't done well against Crete-Monee recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Blazing Trojan won by a set and slipped past the Warriors 2-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win two weeks ago.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Bloom who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18.

Bloom will be playing at home against Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blazing Trojan are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Crete-Monee, they will take on Thornridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
