Volleyball Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short

Savannah came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines. The Bluejackets have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Savannah was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13, 25-10.

Savannah now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Woodville-Tompkins, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Savannah is set to challenge their familiar foe Savannah Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Woodville-Tompkins will square off against rival Toombs County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
