Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Cougars vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels

For the second straight game, Coronado will face off against Bishop Gorman. The Cougars will welcome the Gaels at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Coronado has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Bishop Gorman will arrive with four straight wins.

Coronado is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Bishop Gorman, who was ranked third at the time (Coronado was ranked 23rd). The Cougars fell just short of the Gaels by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

For Bishop Gorman's part, they got a great performance from Noah Ramos as he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Ramos has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
