Volleyball Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ridgeland sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Ridgeland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordin Duran had nine digs and three assists.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southeast Whitfield County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Ridgeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Adairsville on the 21st. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ringgold on the 21st.
