Mount Pleasant came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Salisbury Hornets, falling 8-0. Mount Pleasant haven't had much luck with Salisbury recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Salisbury, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Mount Pleasant will take on Concord at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salisbury, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Gray Stone Day at 6:00 p.m.
