Baseball Recap: Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's offense. They fell just short of the Seekonk Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Dighton-Rehoboth Regional and nudges their season record down to 13-6. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Seekonk, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional will challenge Oliver Ames at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Seekonk, they will square off against Somerset Berkley Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
