Preview: St. Paul Indians vs. Oswego Indians
St. Paul is 9-0 against Oswego since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The St. Paul Indians will head out on the road to take on the Oswego Indians at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
While St. Paul couldn't quite beat Crest on Thursday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 25-point loss they were dealt on Tuesday. St. Paul fell just short of Crest by a score of 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss St. Paul has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Oswego's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 52-18 defeat at the hands of Erie. Oswego was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.
St. Paul has fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 4-8. As for Oswego, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11-1.
St. Paul was able to grind out a solid victory over Oswego when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 43-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Paul since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
