Softball Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

After flying high against Red Oak last Friday, Ennis came back down to earth. The Lions fell 11-7 to the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Kaycee Slovak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples and three RBI. Kylie Saxon also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Ennis' loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Midlothian Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Ennis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will take on Kaufman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
