Incarnate Word hasn't had much luck against Antonian Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Incarnate Word Shamrocks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Antonian Prep Apaches at 4:30 p.m. The matchup will give Incarnate Word their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

Last Thursday, Incarnate Word wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, Antonian Prep came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Indians/Squaws 7-5.

Ale Santoyo made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Santoyo was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Antonian Prep let Isabella Garza and Trinity Silva run wild. Garza went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Silva scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
