Newark had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Indian Creek Timberwolves by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Newark's offense was headlined by Heather Buhle and Rylie Carlson, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Taylor Jeffers and her 14 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Morgan Hergenhahn, each putting up three.

Newark's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Indian Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Looking ahead, Newark will square off against Hinckley-Big Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Creek, after both having extra time off, they and DePue will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
