Softball Recap: Union City Comes Up Short

Union City fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Dresden on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 9-8. The Golden Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Dresden, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-13.

Coming up, Union City will face off against Halls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dresden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
