Softball Recap: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Martinsville Bluestreaks

Mulberry Grove can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Martinsville Bluestreaks as the Mulberry Grove Aces made off with a 12-2 victory. The win was nothing new for Mulberry Grove as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Lily Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Johnson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Mulberry Grove let Lola Johnson and Taylor Stone loose on the outfield. Johnson went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI, while Stone scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenni Mezo, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
