Recap: Cambridge Trojans vs. Alma Cardinals
The Cambridge Trojans were the 55-45 winner over the Alma Cardinals when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Cambridge took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alma.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Hoberty, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Brohdey Wood was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Cambridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alma only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tucker Biskup, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavier Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Alma, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.
Cambridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dundy County-Stratton at 4:15 p.m. on January 27th. Dundy County-Stratton is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Alma, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maywood/Hayes Center at 7:45 p.m. on January 27th. Maywood/Hayes Center will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
