Basketball Recap: Sonoraville Gets the Win

Sonoraville won the last time they faced Cartersville and things went their way on Monday too. The Sonoraville Phoenix came out on top against the Cartersville Hurricanes by a score of 62-50.

Despite the loss, Cartersville still got an impressive performance from Nas Bennett, who posted 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. With that strong performance, Bennett is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Thomason, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Sonoraville's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Cartersville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonoraville will welcome Rockmart at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cartersville, they will face off against Rome at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
