Recap: Queensbury Spartans vs. Lansingburgh Knights
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bethlehem Central, the Queensbury Spartans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 41-28 win over Lansingburgh.
Queensbury can attribute much of their success to Ian Reynolds, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Zavry Ward also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Lansingburgh's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Huff, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Markous Green, who picked up 206 receiving yards.
Queensbury now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lansingburgh, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.
Queensbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lansingburgh also has no future games currently scheduled.
