Softball Recap: Florence's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Florence can now relate to. They came up short against the Austin Black Bears on Saturday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the loss, Florence broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-24. As for Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-15-1 record this season.

Austin has already played their next contest, a 10-2 victory against James Clemens on the 26th. Hopefully Florence paid attention to the Black Bears' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Black Bears on Saturday.
