Willamette has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to face off against the South Medford Panthers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. South Medford took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Willamette, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with 26 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Willamette finally turned things around against Benson Tech last Wednesday. They blew past the Techmen 3-0.
Meanwhile, South Medford is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Valley Christian. South Medford fell 2-0 to Valley Christian. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.
Willamette's win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-11. As for South Medford, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
