Carrboro waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the J.F. Webb Warriors get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Joe Smith was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Carrboro: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Levi Bienstock, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Jones, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Carrboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.4.

Carrboro's record is now 10-7. As for J.F. Webb, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Carrboro nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
