Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ready Takes a Loss

If Bishop Ready was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Franklin Heights on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silver Knights fell just short of the North Union Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Silver Knights of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Bishop Ready was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made North Union work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 22-25, 26-24, 25-27, 17-15.

Tatum Reeder paced Bishop Ready's offense, picking up 22 kills. Reeder got some help from Allyson Creighton and her 23 assists. Creighton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

With the defeat, Bishop Ready broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-3. As for North Union, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Coming up, Bishop Ready will take on Lakewood in a tournament on Wednesday. North Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
