Softball Recap: Civic Memorial Has No Trouble Against O'fallon

While Civic Memorial didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the O'Fallon Panthers 12-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Skylar Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Bella Thien was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Civic Memorial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as O'Fallon struck out eight times.

Civic Memorial's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for O'Fallon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Civic Memorial has already played their next game (against Wesclin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for O'Fallon, they have also already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Marquette Catholic on the 12th.
