Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Elk Grove can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thundering Herd have posted since September 9th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Elk Grove got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-13, 20-25, 15-3.

Elk Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Yerba Buena, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Elk Grove has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Los Banos on the 11th. As for Yerba Buena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Franklin on the 11th.
