Basketball Recap: Utopian Academy for the Arts Gets the Win

Utopian Academy for the Arts proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 90) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by the Dominion Christian Knights 57-56.

Utopian Academy for the Arts' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quevion Johnson, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points. The matchup was Johnson's third in a row with at least 17 points. Denvah Jones was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 13 points and seven boards.

Utopian Academy for the Arts' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dominion Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Utopian Academy for the Arts will face off against Elite Scholars Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dominion Christian, they will take on William & Reed Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
