Bishop Carroll came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Penn Cambria Panthers. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

While Bishop Carroll was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Penn Cambria's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Emily Olienyk paced Bishop Carroll's offense, picking up nine kills. Olienyk got some help from Lily Ann Strait and her 22 assists. Finally, Adison Myers kept Bishop Carroll's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Penn Cambria found their leader in sophomore Madelyn Kittell, who had 34 assists. Kittell has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Bishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10-2. As for Penn Cambria, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8-1.
