There's no place like home for Christian Brothers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Vianney Golden Griffins on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cadets have posted against the Golden Griffins since April 20, 2023.

The victory didn't come easy: Vianney scored at least 12 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 15-12.

Christian Brothers' win bumped their record up to 9-15-1. As for Vianney, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-9-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Brothers will head out to challenge De Smet Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Cadets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Vianney, they will head out on the road to face off against O'Fallon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Golden Griffins surely won't give up without a fight.
