Basketball Recap: St. Marys Bears vs. Rossville Bulldogs
The St. Marys Bears pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Rossville 62-57. St. Marys has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Rossville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Jones continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Badura, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
St. Marys' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Rossville, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Marys will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver Lake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 370 points over their last six contests. As for Rossville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Mustangs. Rock Creek is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
