Lee Williams barely beat Mingus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lee Williams blew past Mingus 11-1 on Thursday. The Volunteers have beaten the Marauders the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Marauders has come to flipping the script.
Aivree Austin was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Austin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sami Marshall, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Alana Garibaldi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.
