Northview had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came out on top against the West Covina Bulldogs by a score of 8-4. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clementina Duran made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bella Ochoa, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Marilyn Sandoval, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Northview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Covina only managed five hits.

Northview's record now sits at 13-5-1. As for West Covina, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Northview by a score of 7-2 on Thursday.
