Basketball Recap: Wyandotte Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Washington came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Wyandotte, but Jaylynn Hunt wouldn't allow it. The Wyandotte Bulldogs really took it to the Washington Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-27 victory thanks in part to Hunt, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 19 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Promise Burton, who posted seven points in addition to ten steals and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played.

Wyandotte is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Wyandotte has already played their next contest, a 44-28 win against Atchison on the 15th. As for Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-6 loss against St. James Academy on the 16th.
