Softball Recap: Metro Tech's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Metro Tech hadn't done well against Central recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 18-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the game before.

Maria Mada was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Mariah Price was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Metro Tech lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Metro Tech's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Central, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Metro Tech has already played their next contest, a 17-2 victory against Sierra Linda on the 25th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-0 defeat against North on the 28th.
