While Hoover's win against Shady Spring wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Riley Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hoover's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Kee, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Shady Spring, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-13-1.

As of now, neither Hoover nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
