Football Recap: Navarro Panthers vs. Cuero Gobblers

Navarro and Cuero squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Navarro had to settle for second. They were dealt a 56-21 loss at the hands of the Cuero Gobblers. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Gobblers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

A big part of Cuero's win came down to the chemistry between Jaxxon Marie and his top target Walker Dietze. Marie threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes while Dietze gained 126 total yards and three touchdowns.

Navarro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Cuero, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Navarro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cuero, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wimberley at 7:30 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,042 yards in their previous games.
