Basketball Recap: Temple Baptist Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Temple Baptist Academy was riding high fresh off their 47-26 takedown of Tennessee Christian Prep last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Temple Baptist Academy Royal Crusaders fell to the Cedar View Christian Seahawks 66-62. The loss continues a trend for the Royal Crusaders in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Temple Baptist Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Mueller posted 29 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Tomlinson, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 15 points.

Temple Baptist Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Cedar View Christian, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Temple Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-50 win against Clayton-Bradley Academy on the 3rd. As for Cedar View Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Berean Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Berean Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.9 points per game this season.
