Baseball Recap: Kingston Redskins vs. Calera Bulldogs

While Kingston's victory against Calera wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Redskins had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Blane Henry made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Henry wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brock Rumer, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Rumer has posted since back in April of 2025.
Kingston's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Calera, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.
Coming up, Kingston will welcome Marietta at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Calera, they will head out on the road to square off against Preston at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th.
