Basketball Recap: Piedmont Takes Down Ukiah in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Piedmont walked away with it. They blew past the Ukiah Wildcats 87-49 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kaleo Olson and Carter Rhodes certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Olson dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds, while Rhodes posted nine points. Olson is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Piedmont's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Ukiah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-21.

Piedmont has already played their next game, a 78-69 win against Bethel on the 22nd. Ukiah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
