Volleyball Recap: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Anthony Wayne Generals

If Napoleon was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wauseon on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Anthony Wayne Generals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Generals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-7, 25-5.

Taylor Hendrix paced Napoleon's offense, picking up four kills. Hendrix got some help from Taylor Borton and her four assists.

Anthony Wayne was led to victory by Alayna Rieger and Jessie Kennelly. Rieger had 13 assists and four aces, while Kennelly had 13 digs and five assists. Kennelly is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Napoleon fell to 2-1.

Napoleon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Perrysburg on the 20th. As for Anthony Wayne, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Clay on the 21st.
