Softball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Harvest Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Alden-Hebron Green Giants with a sharp 22-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Kenzie Weidman was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Haley Miller also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Harvest Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .794. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harvest Christian Academy's record is now 6-7. As for Alden-Hebron, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Harvest Christian Academy will face off against Larkin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Alden-Hebron, they will take on Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Green Giants are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
