Recap: Bridgehampton Killer Bees vs. Smithtown Christian Knights
After a string of three wins, the Bridgehampton Killer Bees's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 69-58 to Smithtown Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Isaiah McCarter, who scored 23 points for Smithtown Christian. McCarter continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Lorenzo Crilly was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Bridgehampton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Smithtown Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridgehampton will take on the Settlers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smithtown Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Islanders at 6:30 p.m. Shelter Island will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 785th, while the Knights are ranked 311th).
