The Corning Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Willows Honkers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Corning is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Corning proved they can win big back in December of 2025 (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand University Prep a 1-0 shutout. Corning's winning goal came courtesy of Alidio Diaz.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Willows was a bit more limited in their contest back in December of 2025. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Live Oak an easy 4-1 win. Willows have struggled against Live Oak recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Willows' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Corning, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Corning beat Willows 4-2 in their previous meeting back in December of 2018. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Honkers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
