Goochland came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Monticello Mustangs with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Goochland's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Monticello, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goochland will host Amelia County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Monticello, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Louisa County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
