Soccer Game Preview: Grand Junction Central vs. Fruita Monument + Official Tickets

The Grand Junction Central Warriors will square off against the Fruita Monument Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grand Junction Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Grand Junction Central had taken Palisade down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Warriors came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 4-1. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no goals scored by either team from that point forward.

Meanwhile, Fruita Monument and Durango finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

The Wildcats' goal came courtesy of Samuel Noem, who's now up to six this season.

With that draw, Fruita Monument's record moves to 5-6-3. As for Grand Junction Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Grand Junction Central suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Fruita Monument when the teams last played back in September. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
