Volleyball Game Preview: Youngker Roughriders vs. Washington Rams

The Youngker Roughriders will head out to challenge the Washington Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Youngker will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with 15 losses in a row, Youngker turned things around against Glendale on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. The Roughriders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th.

Meanwhile, Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carl Hayden Community.

While Washington ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Youngker, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-18.
