Shawnee Mission East entered their tilt with Shawnee Mission West on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Saturday.

The win didn't come easy: Shawnee Mission West scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 25-23.

Shawnee Mission East was led to victory by Jessie Hill and Adeline Clifford. Hill had 16 digs and three aces, while Clifford had 13 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Hill is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game. Ava Murray also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Shawnee Mission East's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Shawnee Mission West, they dropped their record down to 3-11-2 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
