Basketball Game Preview: Roseau Rams vs. Sacred Heart Eagles

The Roseau Rams will take on the Sacred Heart Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-38, which was the final score in Roseau's tilt against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] on Tuesday. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart posted their closest victory since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 win over Thief River Falls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Sacred Heart has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Roseau, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-12.

Roseau was dealt a bruising 95-59 loss at the hands of Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Roseau avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
