Football Recap: Corsicana Takes a Loss

If Corsicana was feeling good fresh off their 23-0 takedown of Hallsville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Corsicana took a blow against Terrell on Friday, falling 56-12. While losing is never fun, Corsicana can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 657th, while Terrell is ranked 129th).

Leading Terrell to victory were JULIAN ASHLEY and NOLAN HALL. ASHLEY gained 226 total yards and a touchdown, while HALL threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns. RODERICK HAMBRICK JR. handled things on the ground, rushing for 117 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Corsicana's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Terrell, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Corsicana will challenge rival Crandall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Terrell is set to face off against their familiar foe Kaufman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
